          Early Life and Education

          Thulisile Nomkhosi Madonsela was born on 28 September 1962 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

          Her parents, Bafana and Nomasonto, were informal traders. She grew up in Soweto and attended Evelyn Baring High School in Swaziland.
