Canaan Records is a Christian record label that was founded in as a subsidiary of Word Entertainment to record Southern Gospel quartets.

He formed Charles Johnson & The Revivers in the 1980s along with brothers Darrell Luster and Ricky Luster. The most memorable song recorded by the group was Colbert and Joyce Croft's "I Can't Even Walk Without You Holding My Hand."
